The British Association of Cardiovascular Health Professionals (BACHP) builds on the strong foundations established by BANCC, which was originally formed to bring together nurses working across cardiovascular care. Since its inception, the organisation has provided a national forum for sharing knowledge, promoting best practice, advancing education and research, and supporting excellence in cardiovascular nursing.

Today, the Society represents a community of more than 200 cardiovascular nurses working across a wide range of specialties, including heart failure, cardiac rhythm management, prevention and rehabilitation, acute and critical care, inherited cardiac conditions, and community cardiovascular services.

As cardiovascular care becomes increasingly multidisciplinary, BACHP is evolving to welcome allied professionals who share a commitment to improving cardiovascular health and care. Our vision is to become the professional home for cardiovascular nurses and allied professionals, creating a unique cross-specialty community that complements disease-specific and professional societies. By bringing together professionals from different disciplines and areas of practice, we aim to promote collaboration, broaden expertise, support workforce development, and improve outcomes for people living with or at risk of cardiovascular disease.
